Local Rules and Information Sheet

QUALIFIERS:               9                                             ALTERNATES:  2

 

TIES & PLAYOFFS: In the event of a tie for the final qualifying spot and/or any alternate position, a hole-by-hole playoff will be conducted immediately following play.

 

EVACUATION PLAN: In the event play is suspended for a dangerous situation (lightning), players are to return to the Clubhouse.  The signal for a suspension due to a dangerous situation is two (2) prolonged horn blasts.

 

Rules are governed by the Rules of Golf, USGA Terms of Competition, Notice to Competitors,
Memo to Players and the following local rules.  Disregard all local rules printed on the local card.

 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES: Per the 2025 USGA Terms of Competition, distance measuring devices ARE permitted.  However, information gained from their use must be limited to DISTANCE ONLY.

 

PACE OF PLAY/UNREASONABLE DELAY (RULE 5.6): Players are expected to play without delay, and groups are expected to remain in position with the group immediately in front of it.  Timing sheets showing the time by when each hole must be completed are posted on the Qualifying webpage.  Groups who fall out of position will be WARNED (First breach) and are subject to monitoring and timing by a Rules official.  Players are expected to play a stroke within 40 seconds from when it is their time to play.  Players who receive a bad time after being warned will receive One penalty stroke.  Players who receive a second bad time will receive Two penalty strokes.  The expected pace of play is 4:24 for 18 holes.  Penalty for Breach of Rule 5.6a: First breach: Group Warning; Second breach: One penalty stroke; Third breach: Two penalty strokes; Fourth breach: DISQUALIFICATION.

 

GROUND UNDER REPAIR: Areas circled with white lines. 

 

NO PLAY ZONES: The following areas have been declared as “No Play Zones”.  NOTE: Player MAY stand in the No Play Zone in order to make a stroke at a ball lying OUTSIDE the NPZ.

(1) Hole #1: Red Penalty Area on the right side of the fairway and putting green. (PENALTY RELIEF)

(2) Hole #8: Yellow Penalty Area in front of the putting green. (PENALTY RELIEF)

(3) Hole #16: Yellow and Red Penalty Area in front of and to the right of the putting green. (PENALTY RELIEF)

(4) Holes #9 & 18: Anything on the clubhouse side of the cart path surrounding the backside of the clubhouse. (FREE RELIEF)

 

DROPPING ZONES: There are dropping zones available as additional options for relief from the following situations. 

(1) Hole #9 – No Play Zone (clubhouse area) behind green.

(2) Hole #16 – Yellow and Red Penalty Areas in front of and to the right of the putting green.

(3) Hole #18 (2) – Cart path & No Play Zone (clubhouse area) behind and right of the green (player must use the dropping zone nearest to where the ball is at rest even if the drop zone is nearer the hole).

 

OUT OF BOUNDS: The boundaries are defined by white stakes, property fences, the inside edge of curbing (#1, 2, & 15) and any ground on the opposite side of the penalty area (#2, 7, 10 & 17).  NOTE: Any ball going out of bounds and coming to rest on another part of the course remains out of bounds.

 

PENALTY AREAS: All penalty areas are identified by stakes and defined by lines.
